 How do I set up my email account
in Netscape Communicator?
To set-up your email
account, start your Netscape Navigator Program and follow these simple
directions (you may want to print this or make notes before you start).
1. Go to Edit, Preferences. Once there, double-click (or
click the plus sign) on "Mail and Groups".
2. Go to the folder called
"Identity" and fill in the following blanks:
- Your Name (can be your name or your company
name)
- Email Address:
yourusername@mail.bcgroup.net (your user name will be the name
you use to log-in to Borealis)
- Organization: This is optional. If you would like
your business or organization to be included when you send email, fill in this
space with the appropriate name.
3. Next, go to the folder "Mail Server" and ensure the
following is filled in:
- Mail Server Name: yourusername (do
not include the "@bcgroup.net" portion)
- Outgoing Mail Server: mail.bcgroup.net
- Incoming Mail Server: mail.bcgroup.net
4. Click the "OK" button, and you are ready to start sending
and receiving your mail in Messenger Mailbox.
How do I set up my email account in Netscape
Navigator?
To set-up your email account, for the first time,
start Netscape Navigator and follow these simple directions (you may want to

1. Go to the Options menu at the top of Netscape and
select Mail and News Preferences.
2. Choose the tab called "Servers". The spaces should be
filled in with the following:
- Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: mail.bcgroup.net
- Incoming Mail (POP3) Server: mail.bcgroup.net
- POP3 Username: yourusername (do not include
the "@bcgroup.net" portion)
3. Now go to the tab named "Identity". The following entries
should be filled in.
- Your Name: your name or your company's name
- Your Email: yourusername@bcgroup.net
- Reply-to-address:
yourusername@bcgroup.net
- Your Organization: This is optional. If you would
like your business or organization to be included when you send email, fill in
this space with the appropriate name.
4. Click "OK." Now you can access your email program
(Window, Netscape Mail), and start sending and receiving
